Da Belcibo Ashwood

Had a lovely dinner here tonight! The restaurant has such a warm and elegant atmosphere — white tablecloths, soft lighting, and classic paintings that make you feel like you’re in a small Italian town. We ordered the Veal Parma, Chicken Risotto, and Beef Medallions — all were cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The Limonata and Chinotto drinks were refreshing and paired beautifully with the meal. A cozy and relaxing place for a slow, enjoyable dinner. Highly recommended!

If you’re after a heavenly slice of Italy in Melbourne’s south east, you HAVE to go here! We had the Bruschetta, the Spaghetti Gamberi, and an Amore wood fired pizza, and I genuinely can’t decide what was my favourite - it was all so delicious! Complimenting this perfectly was a couple (and then a couple more) glasses of red wine. The perfect pairing! An unexpected delight were the wall murals in the restaurant by Damien Mitchell - perfect for sparking conversation and an excellent backdrop for a wonderful evening.

We visited Da Belcibo at their new Ashwood location for a midweek Italian pizza pasta treat. This old school italian eatery has recently been refreshed with a well styled interior and an authentic wood fired pizzas oven front and centre. We went for some of our favourites, in the chicken fettuccine with a creamy garlic sauce. This was our cheat food favourite. Also impressive bc was the flavour packed Gamberi pizza… with generous prawn toppings. Friendly staff and quick service made this a great suburban dine.

Da Belcibo is an absolute gem in Ashwood and my go to spot for authentic Italian. The traditional wood fired Margherita Pizza is a must order you can see the iconic charcoal oven as you walk in, and the taste, with the melted cheese on a perfectly crispy crust, is pure perfection. I'm also obsessed with their Traditional Italian Meatballs, which feature what I genuinely believe is the best tomato sauce in the southeast; its perfect balance of acidity and richness is incredible with bread. Paired with the lovely, photogenic ambiance complete with a great bar and a charming party room and excellent service, it's a complete dining experience I can't recommend highly enough.

Wood fire pizza was cooked really well. It was thin but not soggy. The bottom wasn’t soaked. The veal parma was also soft, not chewy at all. Great spot!

Absolutely outstanding experience at Da Belcibo in Ashwood! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. The ambiance is relaxed yet refined—perfect for a cozy dinner or a special night out. Now, the food… phenomenal. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The pasta was cooked to perfection, the sauces rich and authentic, and the wood-fired pizza had that perfect crispy base and smoky flavor. You can really taste the quality in every bite. What stood out the most was the genuine passion the staff had for the food and their craft—it made the experience feel personal and memorable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-tier Italian cuisine in a welcoming setting. Can’t wait to come back!

My partner and I had a great dining experience at this new Italian restaurant. I was immediately attracted by the interiors when I walked in the restaurant. The elegant oil paintings on the walls and amazing wall paintings both highlighted the Italian cuisine and their food culture. The shop was busy and packed with people. We ordered a large Valentino pizza and a veal schnitzel, which came out from the kitchen in 30 minutes. The pizza was flavourful and delicious, I enjoyed the pizza base as it was extremely thin and soft. The veal schnitzel was tender, juicy, and moist. The smashed potatoes and salad were perfect match for this dish. The salad was refreshing and fresh, I could toast the sweetness of the freshly cut red onions, which was fantastic. All the food was amazing, but their service could have been better. The waiter and waitress were a bit indifferent, a warmer and more welcoming attitude would improve their service.

I love going to a quiet neighbourhood restaurant that serves the most delicious and authentic food. I got served by the most wonderful waitress named Mia, and she made sure that we had an amazing and enjoyable experience the whole night. The atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful, walls decorated with gigantic Italian art, and it was super spacious with a beautiful function area for large group dining. We ordered the chicken pizza and the beef ravioli. The pizza was beautiful, with a delicious fired base and the right amount of toppings, and the ravioli was a simple classic with nothing bad to say! Staff was absolutely lovely and would definitely love to come back!
